Outdoor wooden Tangle Frame climbing structures are magnets for children! Where we used to have a mature tree to climb, today, children are attracted to the dense hub of play opportunities provided by a Tangle Frame. Horizontal and vertical, leaning-in and inclined, Tangle Frame beams are as if dropped like a giant game of pick-up sticks.

Whether your setting is urban or rural the natural aesthetic of a Tangle Frame climbing structure blends into a wilder environment or brings a touch of nature to urban concrete. Our climbing structures can stand alone, be grouped with other natural play equipment, or be made completely bespoke to your setting.

This hap-hazard play feature challenges balance and in turn other senses like concentration, resilience and confidence. Tangle frames instantly invite challenging action and interaction. They are popular for familiar games, like tag and floor-is-lava.

Enjoying a Tangle Frame climbing structure is a great exercise for the mind too. The outdoor wooden structures are popular for wonderful imagined play and horizontal beams and additional nets offer great places to rest and chat.

Tangle Frame (S)

The small Tangle Frame provides high play value especially when combined with loose parts. They are perfect for creating a natural play area in a limited space. Just as every tree in the woods is different, each of our Tangle Frames is unique. Generally, the small Tangle Frame (S) will have 7 horizontal beams and 6 vertical beams. £3,650 plus installation and surfacing. Final POA.

Tangle Frame (M)

The medium Tangle Frame is popular with KS 1 & 2 pupils. The play value can be extended with the addition of ropes, platforms and slides. Just as every tree in the woods is different, each of our Tangle Frames is unique. Generally, the medium Tangle Frame (M) will have 10/12 horizontal beams, 10 vertical beams and 1 net. £12,000 plus installation and surfacing. Final POA.

Tangle Frame (L)

The large climbing structures are popular with KS3&4 pupils and are suited to use in community settings and playing fields. They can accommodate a large number of children and range of play facilities. Tangle Frames (L)  typically have two nets and a platform and have a height of 3m. £20,000 plus installation and surfacing. Final POA.

Tangle Frame Bespoke

A bespoke climbing structure enables you to let your imagination run free! Working together we can design and create something totally unique to your setting. You may need something to fit a special environment or be distinctive for your children. We love to work with quirky ideas and as long as we have the wood, you can dream up your ideal Tangle Frame.
